Polyethylene terephthalate, polyethylene terephthalate or polyethylene terephthalate Polyethylenterephthalate (better known by its acronym PET, Polyethylene Terephtalate).
It is a linear thermoplastic polymer with a high degree of crystallinity. As all thermoplastics can be processed by extrusion, injection, blow molding, thermoforming and blow molding preform.

Three main types of PET: The APET (is the amorphous PET), the CPET (is crystalline PET) and the PETG (is an amorphous polymer a low temperature thermoplastic). These three materials have identical properties but differ mainly in their composition. Indeed, APET is amorphous and, therefore, is highly transparent, while the CPET is partially crystalline, opaque appearance and PETG has excellent impact strength similar to that found in polycarbonate. It has very good thermal and dimensional stability characteristics with low shrinkage. It does not stress whiten when bent or formed. It has exceptional transparency and clarity.

The physical properties of PET and its ability to meet various specifications were the reasons why the material has reached a significant development in the production of textile fibers and production of a wide variety of containers, especially in industrial production ( bottles, trays, films, sheets, foils and textiles).
